This is why we should be careful with what we eat, especially early in the morning.
Some food can damage the layers of the stomach and later on result to an ulcer or even worse conditions.

Avoid these food on an empty stomach:
Tomatoes, although packed with nutrients and high amounts of Vitamin C, also contain high levels of tannic acid which increases acidity in the stomach and can lead to gastric ulcers. Save the tomatoes for dinner salad.
